ISO 27001 (ISO/IEC 27001) ISMS Specification
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 specificies the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). ISO/IEC 27001:2005 can be employed by all types of organisation (eg commercial enterprises, government agencies, not-for profit organisations).
It specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls customised to the needs of individual organisations or parts thereof. It is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to interested parties.
The content of this and the International Standard for Information Security or BS adoptions are exactly the same. The only thing that is different is the logo on the front cover.
